LqR plugin 0.50, downloaded today
Gimp 2.6.1 on Windows XP

Every rescale operation opens a GIMP message window with this message:

Calling error for procedure 'gimp-image-convert-rgb': Image '[path-to-image-here]' (49) is already of type 'rgb'

The image is indeed already of type rgb, so why convert it. Rescaling seems to be working, though. Just this weird message.

Hi and thanks for the report. This issue will be fixed in the next release of the plugin, which will be a bugfix release and will be out soon.
Note: this message should disappear when unchecking the option "Output the seams". Please, warn me if this is not correct.

This bug should be now fixed in the new version 0.5.1 of the plugin.

Hi UnNeurone,

I am asking you this question here, because this thread is all I could find (thus far) which deals with this issue, in any way.

I am not using Liquid Rescale so if you want to brush me off I'd understand.

I am using a custom made plugin which is getting the same error message as described at the beginning of this thread. I was wondering if you could give me an indication of what new thing in Gimp 2.6 is causing this, and if there is anyway to prevent this error from popping up, other than by modifying the plugin.

I'm sorry but I can't help you, I don't know what changed in GIMP and the way I fixed it was just modifying the plugin, I don't know of any other way.
Maybe you could try to ask in the GIMP IRC channel or in the mailing list.

Just to end this thread. I went onto the GIMP IRC channel as suggested by UnNeurone.

A discussion began between several Gimp gods. From what I understood - the 2.6 versions error register has been augmented which should help Plugin and script writers locate problems with there stuff more easily. There seems to be some debate as to what should be considered an error though.

I think the Gimp gods will fix this particular error message (it is just an annoyance, not a real error (I think)) in the next Gimp update.
