In my attempt to download the rescale for windows, I received the message "Could not extract, access denied."

In my attempt to download the rescale for windows, I received the message "Could not extract, access denied." It gives me this message after I click the "extract" button. I checked the location of GIMP and it is stored in the program files. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

I have no idea what the problem is, but you can try opening the installer with an archive extractor (e.g. WinZip, WinRar etc.) and extract all its content under C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0 (or wherever your GIMP directory is located).

for anyone else having this same issue, simply right click on the file, then click on "run as administrator", problem solved
