Ok, so im a retard when it comes to unix.
Ive tried time and time again to get this app to work, and it wont. Im so frustrated because I think this piece of software is amazing!! So can you please make the tutorial more in depth, giving a step by step process of everything we need to get this to work. Im confused on where I get the gimp.app, how i compile it in macports, how to install the plugin. Pretty much everything, so if anyone out there can help out a unix retard I would be very grateful. thanks!

I'm sorry, I can't help about getting gimp on Mac.

But if you find that out, all you need to do is:

• download the .tar.gz file into your home
• closely follow the installation instructions by typing the commands in a terminal window

The only missing commands are the ones concerning entering in a directory (which in a terminal is just something like "cd gimp-lqr-plugin-0.3.0") and editing text files (which you can do with any notebook-like program).

It's really simpler then it looks actually. If you have specific questions just ask.
