I apologize if this seems like a bizarre question, as I am a total amateur. Basically, I used Liquid Rescale to resize an image to 8.5 x 11 inches (originally 7.1 x 9.7 inches roughly), and it looks great. I then exported the image as a PNG file (I tried it as a JPG too). I opened the PNG file in Inkscape and the image was no longer 8.5 x 11 inches; it shrunk in size to about 6.7 x 8.7 inches. Any idea why this happened, and how to prevent it from happening? When I use Inkscape to open the PNG file I exported from GIMP, I'd like it to be the 8.5 x 11 inches that I made it. Any tips? I must be missing something because, like I stated, I'm in no way a professional when it comes to this. Thank you so much for your help.
